For diagnosing Meniere’s disease, a disabling condition that may cause episodes of hearing loss, fluctuating tinnitus, vertigo and aural fullness. Perilymphatic fistula, to help identify wave I of the ABR in patients with profound hearing loss (This wave may not be detected on standard ABR testing in patients with such condition).

VEMP: (Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potential

Purpose of the VEMP test is that to determine if the saccule is one portion of the otoliths, as well the inferior vestibular nerve and central connections, are intact and working normally.
